Sales Representative - Ottawa area

PPL fitness group is looking to add a sales representative in the Ottawa / Eastern Ontario region. The successful candidate will have an exciting oppurtunity to develop new business in the growing commercial fitness, recreation and spa markets while earning excellent comissions/bonues.

The successful candiate must have a background in sales, be able to travel throughout the region and have a proven ability to work independantly. A self starter with strong interpersonal and communication skills is required. Education and/or experience in the fitness/pool or recreation industry are an asset in this position. Compensation is a commision based salary with a draw program.

Summer Lifeguards

If you enjoy meeting new people and making new friends while ensuring the water safety of both adults and children, lifeguarding is the job for you! PPL employs over 150 lifeguards at various apartment and condominium complexes throughout the GTA. We have a number of full time summer positions as well as part time winter positions.

Responsibilities

• Public Relations
• Pool Supervision & Control
• Administering First Aid when Required
• Chemical Testing and Balancing
• Pool and Deck Area Cleaning
• Swimming Instruction and Aquafitness
• Organizing Special Events

Hours/Period of Employment

Summer Jobs generally begin mid June and end Labor Day. Most pools are open 7 days a week from 10AM to 8PM. Lifeguards are rotated and average between 35 & 40 hrs/wk. There are also oppurtunities to work before/after the regular season.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age
• Must have valid NLS (contact us if you would like to get your NLS)
• Must have valid First Aid
• Must have valid CPR
